Company founded as Computer Application, a computer consulting and sales organization.
1984
Computer Applications won its first big contract. This contract was a multi-million dollar contract to provide turnkey integrated workstations for the United States Navy.
1980-1988 Became value-added computer sales and service.
1990 to 1998
The majority of revenues were derived predominantly from network management services and consulting. On January 1st 1998, Computer Applications changed its name to better reflect its core competencies of network systems integration and proactive management. 'Alvaka' is an old Icelandic word for "ever vigilant" or "always awake." We thought this was a fitting name for a company so focused on network monitoring and management.
1998 to present
After more than a decade of providing remote support, Alvaka Networks is a recognized pioneer in the field of proactive network services. We use a combination of onsite or premise based consulting and a mature set of Advanced Network Management tools and protocols to design, implement and fully manage WAN and LAN systems with 100% uptime. Our services are delivered by seasoned remote services engineers and senior network engineers. The Advanced Network Management is delivered from our NOC inside of a highly secure State-of-the-art Data Center. The services and support are available 24x7 and offered as a variety of disciplines that can be combined to offer our customers the best possible fit for their needs and within their budget.
